CranioSacral Therapy

Have you heard about CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?  It is becoming more widely known in the last few years.  It can be described as “the healing power of a gentle touch”.

Craniosacral therapy is a highly effective light-touch therapy that works with the whole body and the source of pain and dysfunction simultaneously.  With CST and given proper support, the body will heal itself, creating a custom solution to any problem that is causing discomfort.

Therapists place their hands over the area of the body that is most related to the source of the problem.  They are trained to feel and monitor changes in the body’s tissues.  In the process of monitoring, therapists hands follow changes in the client’s body as it occurs rather than making the decision to move a person’s body in any given direction.  This is the principal difference between CST and most other therapeutic types of bodywork.

When you see a CranioSacral Therapist, you’ll enter to a welcoming space with a massage table.  On the massage table, you’ll be fully clothed while the therapist lightly touches your body to find the craniosacral rhythm.  Once found, it will guide the therapist where the source of the problem is.  CranioSacral Therapy helps you to tap into your own inner wisdom to foster healing.
